Te Kāinga is a partnership between the Council and private building owners to provide high quality, family-friendly, long-term rental housing to workers in Wellington.

As part of the agreement, the building owners are responsible for construction and maintenance of the apartments and Council is responsible for the tenancy management.

This makes it cost neutral for the Council as we receive a tenancy management fee from the developer.
